Skyline diffuser designer
A skyline diffuser is a grid of blocks of different heights that looks like a city skyline and scatters sound in every direction.
Patterns you can choose
- 2D QRD — block heights from a quadratic residue sequence for even scattering.
- 2D PRD — primitive root sequence, another number-theory pattern.
- MLS — a binary pattern of two heights, shallow and lightweight.
- Random — irregular heights for a natural look.
Why 3D print a skyline diffuser
Cutting hundreds of wooden blocks by hand is slow. Printing hollow panels is precise, light, and repeatable. Diffuser Designer prints them as hollow shells without a back plate, so they use far less material.
Square panels
2D panels are always square so they can be rotated and tiled on a wall. Use the wall designer to place many panels, cut them around windows and doors, and download every piece.
