DIY 3D-printed acoustic diffuser
Build your own acoustic diffusers for a studio, home theater or listening room in four steps.
1. Design the panel
Pick a diffuser type, prime number and design frequency, then set the panel width and height. Watch the diffusion graph to see where the panel works best.
2. Fit it to your printer
Turn on "Split to printable pieces" and enter your printer's build size. The panel is split along well boundaries, never through a well, and each piece gets its own closed walls. Optional identifiers are engraved on each piece so assembly is easy.
3. Print
Download the STL files and print them hollow, open side down. Wall thickness settings let you balance strength and material use.
4. Assemble and mount
Glue the pieces together using the identifiers, then mount the panel on the wall — typically at the rear wall or at reflection points. Use the wall designer to plan a whole wall before you print.
